Biography

Konstantin Ishkhanov is a prominent businessman and a leading cultural philanthropist of his generation, holding the role of President in numerous international festivals, competitions and classical music academies.

Born in 1970, Konstantin Ishkhanov grew up in an environment enriched by arts and culture, although his parents were not professional musicians. This background deeply influenced him and ultimately played a pivotal role in his decision to dedicate his life to cultural endeavours.

After completing his postgraduate education, Ishkhanov initially pursued a career in innovative technology research. However, in 2010 he began to shift his focus from business to cultural projects, paving the way for significant initiatives, many of which are now internationally recognised and attract a global audience.

Some of these prominent events include the InClassica International Music Festival, along with the ClaviCologne Piano Festival, Youth Orchestral Summer Campus, Symphonic Middle East Festival, International Chamber Classics Festival, Mozart Evenings, Accordi Musicali International Music Academy, Eurasian Stars International Music Festival, Middle East Classical Music Academy, and the Modern Composers Festival. Konstantin Ishkhanov serves as President for each of these events, personally overseeing their development.

In addition, Konstantin Ishkhanov is also the President of the prestigious Classic Piano, Classic Cello, Classic Violin Olympus and Classic Winds competitions, as well as the ClaviMasters International Piano Competition. Beyond this, Ishkhanov plays a key role in numerous other cultural projects, ranging from music academies and concerts to ballets and ice shows, contributing in various capacities.

In 2019, Ishkhanov became the first non-Maltese citizen to receive Malta's highest cultural honor for his “Exceptional Contribution to the Cultural Life of Malta”. In 2025, Ishkhanov was presented with a Special Award by the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Chieti, Italy, on behalf of the city and its community, in recognition of his work in organising and promoting the Mozart Evenings festival within the city.
